- Seattle - Tacoma International Airport is currently served by 40 air carriers,
the largest being Alaska Airlines, Horizon Airlines, United and Southwest.
Seventy U.S. and 18 International cities are served via non-stop flights.
The airport handled 340,058 aircraft operations last year with 27.5 million
domestic and 2.5 million international passengers. More than 75,000
travelers pass through the airport every day.
Surveys indicate the average amount of time passengers spend in the
airport is approximately 2 hours. A study of passengers last year found
the percentage of travelers spending more than 2 hours in the terminal is
steadily increasing.
- Cellular voice service is available throughout the airport, including the subway
system and the airport garage. High - speed wireless Internet access is
available to laptop users everywhere except the subway and upper floors
of the garage. Internet - enabled phones are available on all the concourses
and in the South Satellite terminal.
- There is a spectacular new Central Terminal Area with high-end retail shops,
fine quality restaurants featuring local and regional cuisine, wine bar and
spa services . all offering passengers an interesting variety of ways to
spend the waiting times.
