Facts
- Boston Logan International Airport is currently served by 56 air carriers, of which 45 are scheduled airlines including 16 foreign flag carriers. It has domestic service to 33 destinations.
- Logan is New England’s largest transportation center – it handled 409,066 flights last year.
- The airfield is comprised of 5 runways with 14 miles of taxiways. It has 4 passenger terminals – A, B, C and E (International Gateway), each with its own ticketing, baggage claim and ground transportation facilities. There are 102 gate positions at Logan which are available for both scheduled and non-scheduled service.
- The new Logan has overhead walkways connecting all terminals from the Central Garage; a new award-winning International Gateway Arrivals Hall, a new Airport MBTA station and a state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly Terminal A. Another major airport change is Logan’s upper level/departure roadway system. The new roadway system clearly separates those passengers needing the arrivals (lower level) from the departures (upper level) roadways.
